Online Catalogue
The Online Catalogue allows you to access your own account from home.
Encyclopaedia Britannica
The Encyclopaedia Britannica Online is freely available in all Westmeath Libraries. Members can access the Encyclopaedia from home. You will be asked for your borrower information eg library card barcode.
eBooks & eAudiobooks
Library members can sign up to our online eAudiobooks from NetLibrary. These can be accessed from home, allowing you to check out up to ten eAudiobooks at a time for 3 weeks. We do not offer eBooks through the library, however, we have a list of online sources of free eBooks for you to investigate.
eBooks for Local Studies
The Open Text Archive of The Internet Archive contains over one million full-text scanned books in the public domain. Some of these are of particular value to those interested in Westmeath's past, and so we have collected a list of eBooks relating to Local Studies.
Online Databases
Our Online Databases section is a collection of very useful resources, eg Irish Newspaper archives, that you can avail of in your local library. These cannot be accessed externally.
